New Scheme for West Hill School

Work has started on a £500,00 new build technology block for West Hill School in Stalybridge. Staff and students joined representatives from the governors and Clement Dickens for a traditional sod cutting ceremony at the Tameside school.

The Fylde Coast contractor has been appointed to deliver the new two storey building, which is scheduled for completion by April 2013. The new facility will house a state-of-the-art technology laboratory and general classroom space, and will replace the existing temporary classrooms.

West Hill is an all boys comprehensive with specialist science status. Funding for the development was secured by the governors from the Education Funding Agency. Mr Fildes, chairman of the governors, said: “We are delighted at the prospect of a new building on the school site which will enrich the educational experience of our students.”

Residential

Classy completion for St Annes home

Home improvements are on the up across the country as many homeowners who are looking for more space, are choosing to extend and remodel rather than move. Making the most of any spare patch of land or reworking the internal space are great ways of freshening up the look of a home and making room for a growing family without the upheaval of a move.

This beautiful St Annes home has been extended at the back with the addition of two bedrooms, and an en suite bathroom. The kitchen has been given a complete makeover and will be a fresh and bright space with the addition of a lantern light in the roof.

We’re pleased with a job well done as the house looks superb, and we were delighted with the result of the client satisfaction survey which gave us 10 out of 10 in three areas, including project management and high praise for the team’s attitude and courtesy on site.

When asked how happy they were with the overall service of the team, Mr & Mrs Ian Brown answered: “10 out of 10, deserved as overall, CDS performed far in excess of our expectations.”
